I’ve long been a proponent of surveys as a means for the average person with a little spare time to make money at a leisurely pace when they see fit. Survey income offers extra spending money, and since you can do (or not do) the surveys whenever you feel like it, you really can’t beat the flexibility.
Just to be sure though, I decided to keep track of how long, on average, it took me to complete a survey, and how much I’ve been pulling in since November. I focused on my primary driver of survey income, Survey Spot, as they have relatively high-paying surveys that often don’t take more than 5-6 minutes to complete for a 3-5$ payout. Here’s how it breaks down:
Survey Payments since November (From Surveyspot): $189
Survey Income Per Month(Average): $47.25
Average Length of Survey: 9 minutes
Hourly Equivalent Assuming 3$ per Survey: 20$/hour
Not bad right? Not the best pay in the world, but again you can fill these surveys out whenever you happen to have the time and you’re never obligated to fill a survey out, so really it makes the slightly low hourly pay worth it. Plus it should be obvious that you’re not going to replace your job with survey income (And would you want to….really? That would get awfully boring!), but an extra 50$ (ish) a month in my pocket is definitely nice.
